experimenting on photo shop
Today we done work in photoshop. We have learned how to save photos/pictures with certain specifications
eg: the picture has to be flattened, in tiff format, A4 sized and A5, colour profile RGB 1998, with a key line, and a certain resolution (180 or 72 dpi)
I decided to kill to birds with one stone and played around with two images photoshopping them and making them black and white, and I think they turned out neat.

Finalising ideas for portraits.
I want to go with the whole gothic look because I think it would better suit the theme and landscapes.
I want to capture dark gothic themes taking the photos during twilight.
For this project I will have to find some sort of cloak or long cape. I will be experimenting with heavy dramatic makeup which is really exciting.
I've decided to go with 3-4 shots and I will be doing some shot with me in the background
A head and shoulders shot maybe
one with me in the mid ground using the rules of thirds
And if there's to be a 4th, It will be a close up

photoshopping TIL
To get rid of certain shades on photoshop Select- colour range- selected certain areas of the same shade- press ok.
Today I learned how to use vector masks to help with my layers which I found really helpful.
I had learned today how to duplicate layers: select layer, drag it in to duplicate
Today I learned to take snap shots for when I needed to decide if something was working and I was weary about making dramatic changes to an image. Firstly window- history, history- the snap shot tool at the bottom of the screen. I found this very helpful when I was photo shopping myself into my own work. I used the snap shot tool so if i wanted to go back the original image, I could clicked back and forward if I made a change to the image.

Today we had to make an image for print.
