Could've done more effects but I was like… naaaaah

Diagetic and Extra Diagetic Video

experiment

With the help of Pati, Sam, Kayla, Shanaz, Koi, and Jesse, we worked out how to adjust and place everything to give us an idea on what we are join to do for the final take.

an…. experiment

Here we were just mucking around making a whole bunch of sounds experimenting with the mic that turned into some random jam type session.
good times….

What worked was the mic
The mic stand (Shanaz1000zha-top of the line model)

- nothing to do with forgetting to get a mic stand, no…

What didn't work was I think it still didn't sound right
but it was still fun to play around
Sam's singing in the background, Shays almost front and centre, and Koi and I are just having fun :)

Experiment

Koi and I booked the moving image studio so we could experiment using low key lighting.
As we are collaborating, we both agreed that the lighting that we use was ideal for what we wanted
As we a both Cook Islanders, we decided to go with playing an Island song we both knew and it's such a great song

What was working was the lighting
What wasn't working was probably when we had audio difficulties, for example, as I was editing in premier, I didn't like the audio clip that we got from the shotgun mic, and just left the audio from the camera itself. When it comes to the final footage, if I don't like how the audio clip is with the mic, I'll leave the audio clip from the camera.

Examples of low key lighting and high key lighting

Today I used Pete as my model
Awesome photos, great model
These were my examples of a high key lighting.

The other model I used was Kayla
She was in the studio with low key lighting
it was more dramatic and I thought they looked awesome.

Video Ideas

When I first thought about making a video of myself, What randomly popped up, was me walking around town hugging people- I don't know, I thought it would be fun. I thought I could dress up as a dog or some sort of fluffy animal and walking around hugging random people and then giving out lollies or something and just capturing the way people reacted to my hugs, and hopefully smiling etc.
I'm still not sure if this is what I want to do right now seeing as I'm not sure if I would have the confidence to do something like this, but I'm really considering it.

More ideas for my self Portrait video

I think this was a neat video. It must be a little tiresome taking pictures every odd day for 14 years. I was thinking I could get every photo I've ever had of me and morphing one into another showing developing from a baby, to child, to the 20 year old I now am.

Ideas for portrait video

This is literally a "portrait video"
I really wish I knew an artist that would be able to draw me, and i was wondering if i could actually use this idea in my work.
I thought it was neat watching a piece of blank paper being transformed into a work of art.
I have seen many portrait videos like this and this is one of my favorite actress of all times Zoe Zaldana (The main actress in Avatar)

Research and portrait ideas

I thought this was a neat portrait video. Besides the obvious attractiveness of Avon Jogia, I think the video isn't over whelming, it's an easy going video, and the music fits his character.
I thought this would be a good start to coming up with ideas for my own video

experimenting on photo shop

Today we done work in photoshop. We have learned how to save photos/pictures with certain specifications
eg: the picture has to be flattened, in tiff format, A4 sized and A5, colour profile RGB 1998, with a key line, and a certain resolution (180 or 72 dpi)
I decided to kill to birds with one stone and played around with two images photoshopping them and making them black and white, and I think they turned out neat.
